Paul Walker's Character to be retired
Brian O'Connor, played by Paul Walker will
reportedly be retired from the franchise, the writers decided to go this route instead of having him killed off
in the next sequel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Writer Chris Morgan is working on rewriting the script to around the footage that Walker shot before his untimely death.
Producers and studio execs want to give the character a respectable exit, while satisfying loyal fans wishes to see the character live on.
Universal Pictures confirmed in December that Fast & Furious 7's
release date will be moved to April 10, 2015 to accommodate script
changes.
I am very happy to hear that this is the direction they decided to go, anything else would have been too sad and fans and personal friends have hurt enough in real life. No need to make them relive it all over again on the big screen.
