The Come Up!!!!!

 Good morning world and welcome to Through The Lens very first Music Industry posting. OK so the purpose of this page is to help bring light to music and artist that are still on the come up. Personally I don't really listen to the radio, I honestly hate what the rap scene looks like today. I have a saying, I listen to hip hop, I don't listen to rap. I just feel that today's rappers are watered down and for the most part talentless one hit wonders. I'm sorry if that offends you, but hey its my blog so tough shit! With that said, every now and then I come across some great music from artist who are not headliners yet, but have the potential to be great and change the rap game. I am proud to say my very first post is about a group which I feel has that potential. They go by the name of Black C.O.A.L, coal stands for Constant Onslaught of All Lyrics. I mean damn, need I say more!!

They are a trio from the DMV area who came together to basically take over the industry, these ambitious young men are poised to do just that. They all have very unique sounds, they all are true lyricist and they have stage presence.  Three very important ingredients to a long and successful career. Young Heat is the laid back brainy cat that can captivate you with his slick style and intelligent word play. JayTuWize is that gutta dude with that raw street sound that will take the hood by storm. CT is just a lyrical machine with swag that's untouchable by most of these mainstream artist. Individually they stand tall, but as a group they cater to the masses, no one left untouched and everyone is satisfied musically. Notable tracks "The Come Up", "Peter Pan" witch is currently in circulation on MTV Jams, "Freeze Us" and "Slight Ish".
