Love & Hip Hop ATL Follow Up!

What's up people, thought it would be appropriate to do a follow up on my last post. Last night I invited a few friends with me to the filming of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 2. After the round table discussion with Mona Scott Young, I thought it would be a great follow up read for you my loyal readers and fellow bloggers. First and for most I have to say that K Michelle is str8 gorgie! As beautiful as she is on tv, she is that and much more in real life, I'm not saying I caught feelings or anything but, I could have sworn she winked at me. Or it could have been the several bottles of Rose & Henny we drank that night, never the less the woman is stunning! Another beautiful lady is the very classy Ms Ariane Davis. She was really nice as well, and down to earth. The whole crew was very cool, and open to conversing with people, no divas that night. I know I know, y'all are saying dude get to the juicy details, well unfortunately because I am a true professional, I will not tell y'all what happened last night. But I will tell you this, when season 2 airs trust me when I tell you this, y'all don't want to miss a second. So get your DVRs ready because Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Season 2 is going to be crazy!

This your man King Bishop signing off, I only took a few pics from Last night, I can't front I was a lil tipsy before I could catch up with the sexy K.Michelle but I did what I could, I'm sure y'all won't be disappointed, especially the fellas! Lol

Round Table Discussion with Mona Scott Young

Yes we are back and this time KBP had a chance to meet someone I can honestly say I try to model my career after. KBP was one of the chosen few invited to sit and converse with the one and only Mona Scott Young. Now if your not familiar with the name Mona Scott Young, she is the Executive producer behind Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, Love and Hip Hop New York, and now Gossip Game. We were able get the scoop on season 2 of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, and from what Mona told us, it will be bigger and better than the first season. Now LHHATL was a monster in the ratings last year, so for them to top that would be amazing. All I can say is I will be watching every week, and even if you won't admit it, you will to.

Mona was very informative and didn't hold anything back, we discussed how she stays grounded, her family life, and the support of her husband. We also talked about what the state of hip hop is now and will be in the future, you will be surprised what MSY had to say. Mona has a 20 year career in management of rap artists like LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent to name a few, so she definitely has the credibility to discuss the music industry. She started Violator management back in the early 90's and helped mold some of the greatest hip hop stars today. She is not new to this game, she a veteran in the game and this is part of why she is so successful now. Check her resume, this lady is a boss in every way. As of today she has 3 hit reality shows under her belt, but it doesn't stop there. MYS will be taking on the big screen soon, with a few projects in development the Mona Scott Young brand is only getting bigger, I think Oprah may have some competition in the years to come. Yeah I said it she on that path to greatness, this is coming from a production perspective and the impact that she is having on her market and industry.

Ms Scott Young started in humble beginnings but is now at the top of her game and her industry, something I aspire to do as well. Ms Scott Young and I also share a Haitian background, and nothing makes me more proud than to see my people doing big things, she is a true inspiration to me and many young entrepreneurs out there, she is very proud of her heritage and even speaks on it in our video. So with that said, as usual you know KBP holds you down with the visuals, please enjoy and absorb the gems that the great Mona Scott Young drops on us.

Let the Church say Amen!

Yes Lord!!! you better preach it Pastor ....hmmmm hmmmm... oh sorry, I got a little caught up in this "Church Folks" song by EP Hudson. Yes the same brothers, and when I say brothers I don't mean like two black guys, though they are African American but they are actually brothers. Don't ask me why I had to clarify that but I just felt like I needed to. Anyway, GAFolowers and KBP went out to support our favorite dynamic duo Emmanuel and Phillip Hudson on the set of their latest music video "Church folks". For those of you who have never heard the song we provide the link at the bottom of this post for your viewing pleasure. This is just one of maybe 20 songs theses brothers have come written that has gone viral and this is one of the funniest. We had a great time, laughed, said a lot of things we should not say in church, but it was all in good fun. The power went out for a little while, not sure if that was God saying y'all need to cut it out but either way, I'm sure he has forgiven us.

The video was shot on the Clark Atlanta campus, in a small church on McCall Dr and Clark Atlanta students came out to show love. The cast of extras were pretty much all Clark Atlanta students, so huge shout out to CUA for showing out. The official video for this song will be out soon so be on the look out for it, but in the mean time click on the link below to see the viral video of them performing the song for the first time. Now you know KBP always got you when it comes to the behind the scenes to everything happening in the Atlanta, so we also provided you with the video from our experience on set. Enjoy, and share with you friends, remember sharing is caring. lol

We are back with another great event for your viewing pleasure. This time we bring you inside the world of The "Coke Boy" himself French Montana! KBP and the twitter phenom that is @GaFollowers gives you an up close and personal look into the "Excuse My French" tour! French Montana held nothing back, came in turned up from the first song to the last. As if that wasn't enough he brought a long some friends. Some new faces and old, but all heavy hitters in the rap game! With a very eclectic crowd this line up was a guaranteed hit! The fans definitely got more than their money's worth, and in the middle of all the fun we were able to get some work done.

We were able to capture the performances so for those of you that missed it can see just how turned up this show was, needless to say with a line up of surprises guests such as.....wait for it. 2Chaaaiiinnnzzz, Black Rob, Wale, Cap 1 and DJ Holiday! If you happen to be foolish enough to not be captivated by the show on stage, you might bump in to great up and coming, and I say that with hesitation because he is one of my favorite rappers out right now! Mr B.O.A himself was hanging out with us backstage. Black Cobain was in the building supporting his comrades, he also gave us the inside scoop that he has a new project on the way that we should look out for.

Until then I highly recommend you check out "Cheers" which is his most recent body of work, and in my opinion a classic!! You can download it on Datpiff.com and LiveMixTapes.com. While your at it go ahead and download "Mac and Cheese 3" by French Montana, this will hold you over until his Debut album "Excuse My French" hits stores May 21st 2013. In the meantime check out these videos and go to our event photo tab and see the pics from this eventful night, until our next event or project, why not catch with our previous posts, promise we wont disappoint you. Konshens Shuts down Atrium Atlanta!!

Hey Guys!

Just to keep you up on the latest and greatest opportunities presented to KBP, here’s a new blog! Last week we covered the Konshens show and shot the behind the scenes footage. If you’re one of the few unfortunate souls out there that have yet to learn about Konshens, let us be of assistance: Konshens is a beast of a dancehall music sensation and was the one behind the summer hit club banger  “Bubble”. Konshens recently was invited to perform at the Atruim night club in Atlanta and KBP’s here to bring it all to you through the lens, right in the pit of all the excitement and energy behind that wild night!

So needless to say, the event was a mad house –the show turned up! KBP made sure to deliver the experience as raw as it was delivered – so look out for some busy backstage shots, hypnotic moments of debauchery from the audience (Hey ladies…), and to be struck with the massive energy that’s Konshen’s music.

Check it out and let us know what you think! Based off what you saw, would you go to this show? What was your favorite part? What do you wish you were able to see? Tell us what you think and KBP will keep delivering.

Thanks and see you guys for the next project!

Artistic Therapy!!

Photography has become very therapeutic for me as of late, I recently figured this out about 3 days ago while shooting with the Lovely Shanria (@PoiseNCoolWhip on twitter). I worked with her before on a music video for the song "Murderer" by a great artist named Charm. Since we had great chemistry on that set, I thought why not do a photo shoot with her. So after the video wrapped, I reached out to her and asked her if she would like to do a photo shoot. She agreed we set a date and time and everything was all set. But life has its way of interrupting your plans. Literally the day after Shanria and I made plans a family emergency comes up. So I had to make sure everything was OK back home..which is Boston for those that don't know. I canceled with Ms Shanria, and made a few calls, a couple days later I was able to have a friend back home take care of everything for me. So I no longer had to fly home, and I could now do the shoot, only problem, because of my Virgo nature, I am sort of OCD about being prepared. Due to everything going on back home, I lost focus and was unable to plan out the shoot. I was a little frustrated that I would not be able to shoot what I wanted, but I needed to shoot something, I needed to release that frustration and the best way to do that was to just shoot.

After fighting my own stubbornness I decided to just do a fun and random shoot. I sent Shanria a text and she was very understanding and wanted to shoot as well, so that's what we did. One of my favorite places in Atlanta is Little 5 Points, the vibe,  the look, the people, and all the great art. Figured that would be a great place to shoot since there are so many beautiful backdrops. Only thing I didn't consider was how cold it would be that day, and I mean it was cold, 34 degrees to be exact. But like a true professional Shanria endured the cold and we had a great shoot, and most importantly got a lot of shots we were both every happy with. So as it turned out just doing that shoot made my week a lot better, all the stress from life had disappeared and all that mattered was my art. I hope you all have something that helps to keep you grounded and gives you peace when the world around you is in a state of chaos. That is what photography was to me this past weekend, below you can view some of the photos. If you guys have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me by leaving a comment or follow me on Twitter @KingBishopPro and follow the beautiful Shanria @PoiseNCoolWhip.
